A shot I was lucky enough to get a while back.
I spotted this bad boy strutting around the edge of the lake attacking pretty much any other bird that came near him, so I sat down to try get a shot. For about 10 minutes I had no success with most of the fights taking place in the reeds (to the right of the photo), then down flew the victim of this photo into the clear water…
Finally got a panning shot of a flying bird sort of right. 
Yet another Egret, this one decided the tree was a good place to escape the horrible photographer. 
I spent the afternoon at my parents farm today, and after harrassing all the local Cattle Egrets for about half an hour, I managed to come away with a couple of really nice in flight shots.
Setting the AF to AI servo and switching it to only the center AF point achieved some nice crisp images even with my cheap 55-200mm lens that came with the camera.
