Hi, I just did another bounce flash test with my built in flash using my cell phone screen to bounce the flash with the roof:

A testament to how things used to be made for sure, brings back good memories of my grandad saying "in my day" !! How very true.

Great looking photo's, I wonder if you ever took some new ones when you renovated this steel set? If so post a reply, would like to see how it looks now :0)

I have a D40 and have excellent results bouncing the built in flash with a paper folder:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/amaynez/3089342682/

I just hold it with my left hand at about 45 degrees and bend it a bit to curve it at the end.

Regards,
Armando

Not so sure how much cheaper it would be, the local framing shops where I live seem to charge an arm and a leg. The initial outlay is definitely more expensive, but only a few mats later and I'm saving money.

It takes time, but I am the type who loves to learn to do stuff myself; even if sending it to a pro would be faster and easier.

Sounds like it would be cheaper to go to a pro. I stopped cutting my own as you need too much storage space unless you are only going to cut black or white mats. I use John Hartman's Quick Mats or my local Frame shop, the little guy not a box store.

I enjoy the blog, thanks!
