The initial outlay is definitely more expensive, but only a few mats later and I'm saving money. It takes time, but I am the type who loves to learn to do stuff myself; even if sending it to a pro would be faster and easier. I stopped cutting my own as you need too much storage space unless you are only going to cut black or white mats.
