Environment: a Photographer’s Contribution

October 15th, 2007

Bloggers Unite - Blog Action Day Words:irrational has a interesting post about a photographer’s contribution to the environment, as part of Blog Action Day.

I have another suggestion for photographers. Photograph pollution.

Many of us love to photograph nature in all its beauty, but the ugly side is avoided. We don’t tend to leave home hoping to find a river clogged with pollution, though smoke stacks might get a bit more attention from some.

So get out there and take some photos showing just how much our environment is suffering. Post them on your blog or flickr (you can even submit them to groups like Up in Smoke). Maybe your photo will be the one that leads to one more polluter being stopped.

Superman Returns

Here is a fun little game that I found thanks to Chase Jarvis. You get to play little Jimmy Olsen and you have to get photos of superman from cities around the world. Some good/addictive Friday afternoon fun. I got 137, what did you get?
